Speaking from ignorance here, James, as I've never had the pleasure to visit Islay. Nonetheless, I happened upon a great place in the much maligned Speyside. It's called the Grouse Inn in Crabach near Dufftown. They had over 200 whiskies from which you could draw a wee dram and another 100 or so on display. It was a whisky Nirvana! BTW Islays are the superior whiskies in all the world.
