Currently in the States, there are two available independent bottlings of Laphroaig. Cadenhead's has a 12yr old 1984 cask strength (59.7% alc/vol) and Whyte&Whyte has a glorious 21yr old which is dark gold in color. I don't know much about the W&W since the price is so dear ($230 USD), but I have the Cadenhead's. It is a bit sweeter but still has a nice blast of phenol/iodine/paint thinner. Has anyone else seen other independent bottlings of Laphroaig? I checked Hart Brother's web page in response to previous postings about a 1968 bottling, but sadly, this is no longer listed on thier site.
