Black Bowmore ?: the stuff dreams are made off. Available here to but expensive.... Well one has to taste it so let no obstacle prevail... I recently received a fantastic gift from a friend the one who introduced me to Single malt tasting. A Bruichladdisch 26Y. I liked it very much but here again as Brian so clearly puts it: the first grip a whisky gets on you (as the laphroaig 10 Y) is often switched in the older members of the family by the sherry oleroso and subtle bouckets that develop very subtle. I like it but then again the youngsters are more characteristic (maybe more attractive for us beginners). Anyhow that is what I so enjoy in Single malts and what made the discovery such a source of ever lasting joy: a continuous discovery of new and fascinating variations on simple tastes and themes: Sincerely, Georges Otte
