Hey George, The Isle of Arran Distilleries especially offer the purchase of your own barrel (1 hogshead is approx. 20 cases). Unfortunately you would have to wait at least for 8 years or so to get your whisky bottled by Arran. You can than take the (empty) barrel home with you. During the time of maturing you can taste your barrel, you will be informed by the distiller regarding the progress of your whisky etc. You cannot though take the filled barrel with you, only the bottles. I like the idea and the price seems very reasonable, so probably I will purchase one barrel - but not for investment only for drinking! Best regards Frank
