Glemorangie have paid £7Million for the Ardbeg Distillery and intend to re-activate it in August 1997 Aafter a restoration costing £500,00. The purchase price includes £1.6Million for the distillery and its assets plus a further £5.4Million for bottled and vatted stock. This is great news for all Ardbeg fans. Glenmorangie aim to market 5000 cases this year rising to 30,000 in 10 years time. It should complememnt their product portfolio perfectly. HOORAY !
