The Defenders of the Malt is a promotional and educational scheme set up to try to let people understand some of the different flavours that are available in the wide range of Scotch Malt Whisky, particularly Glendronach from the Highlands, Scapa from Orkney and Laphroaig from Islay. This is run by Hiram Walker Inc. from Detroit in the United States of America. I do not know if it is a world-wide promotion. I am sorry I can not be more help Slainte Ian
