Try a few good liquor stores in your area. My experience is that one-third to one-fifth will carry Laphroaig. I buy Lagavulin (the distillery next door to Laphroaig) by the case (with an excellent discount) from Santa Monica Liquor. Most good liquor stores will be happy to order whatever you want from their wholesaler. There are eight distilleries on Islay; and about four or five are readily available in the states. One is almost impossible to find; and two or three are rare.
