As the Keeper of Laphroaig I would like to take
this opportunity to wish all our customers and
Friends a very Happy Christmas and hope that you
will all join me in a dram of Good Christmas
Cheer during the festive period.
This summer no fewer than 745 registered Friends
of Laphroaig have taken the 'road to Islay', to see
the distillery, the plot of land, and of course to
collect their rent. As
we draw towards Christmas we have had nearly 5,000
visitors round the distillery making this is one of
our busiest years ever, and one for the record
books as far as we are concerned.

your comments at our visitors page.
To find out exactly how the world's most
characterful single malt is made, read the
fascinating story of
Bessie Williamson back in
1954, the first woman to own and operate a single
malt distillery. Take a privileged peek inside her
diary.
Are you a winner?
Our first slogan competition is now over so
check the finalists and see the winning entries. A
big thank you for all who participated. In fact the
competition proved so popular we have decided to
run another one! Why not
