Tasting Notes Nosed straight the first impression is of marzipan (but without the sweetness) and oranges, with a hint of sherry. A fresh yet rich nose, concentration reveals plum and nectarine notes. With the addition of water, the aromas become more distinct, fresh and sweet - lavender and beeswax, still with some orange and other fruity aromas (after a while, the plumy aroma turns to prune). It doesn't require much water, and because the mouth-feel is so silky, one can enjoy the alcohol's frisson at the same time as it slides over the tongue. The flavour is wonderfully balanced, teasing the entire palate - predominantly sweet, but with some acidity and dryish, slightly bitter finish. Very pleasant and could be enjoyed at any time of the day, both before and after dinner. In the aftertaste, the beeswax warmingly returns. View label (24K jpeg)
